War as a Spectator Sport

It started Dec. 16, 1944, as a German offensive in Belgium's Ardennes forest and lasted until Jan. 25, 1945. More than a million troops fought in the battle, including about 600,000 Germans, 500,000 Americans and 55,000 British. This was the snowbound fight so famously depicted in 2001 in the Emmy Award-winning miniseries "Band of Brothers."

Scott: Hello, Damien. How are things on the West Coast? I see the Leafs don't much like the weather out there, either. But you must be pumped about the All-Star Game. Or not.

Damien: You know, being an Eastern Conference guy now after years of following the Maple Leafs when they were in the West, it's weird to come back to L.A.
