Poll: Little sympathy for mortgage woes

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 25 A U.S. poll indicates only a quarter of adults think the government should provide financial help to people who can't pay their mortgages.
The Wall Street Journal Online/Harris Interactive Personal Finance Poll found 42 percent are opposed to bailing out those who are at risk of foreclosure, including 22 percent who said they were strongly opposed.
A majority of those surveyed, however, agreed mortgage brokers should be better regulated.
The survey of 2,082 U.S. adults at least 18 years of age was conducted Dec. 10 and 12.
Half of those surveyed said mortgage lenders and brokers were most responsible for the trouble in the housing market and mortgage business, 21 percent said government regulators, 16 percent said home buyers and 11 percent said someone else, Harris Interactive said in a release.

STILL FIGHTING: Prostate cancer survivor helps others with the disease

Larry Puccio beat prostate cancer 12 years ago, but he's still fighting the disease. Only now, he's doing it to help newly diagnosed men and survivors who need information and hope.

The retired engineer joined a prostate cancer support group soon after his surgery in 1996 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. In 2005, he and his wife, Grace, moved from their Hillsborough home to the Holiday City South seniors development in Berkeley.

Puccio decided to look for a new support group. He had an obligation to do so, he says in his quiet but measured way.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Rihanna Calls The Cops! Should Jay-Z Retire? Illseed's ...

I don't know what's going on over there. Jay-Z has his whole “this is an audio album" thing with American Gangster. Well, why not sell it on iTunes? I heard that Jay-Z only wanted to sell the album as a whole piece and that's noble. I also heard a rumor that iTunes may not go towards SoundScan numbers. If that's the case, I am sure that Jay-Z wants people to go and cop the album so he can break Elvis' record!

Did you read about it? Jay-Z is set to tie with Elvis in No. 1 albums. But I say break it since Elvis is no longer with us to make No. 1 records. Read the story here.

Hey, help Jay break that record! A win for him is a win for Hip-Hop!

Buy the American Gangster album for $9.99 and cheaper right here!

SHOULD JAY HAVE STAYED RETIRED?

I was reading the paper and they are saying that Jay-Z should have stayed retired.
